Who Are You Living For?

What is your name?

What do you live for?

Are you living for yourself, or are you living out the dreams others have of you?

Who are you living for?

Ask yourself what your dream was —

What it really was.

Tell me what your dreams are made of.

Tell me of the things that make you happy,

Tell me of the things that brings you comfort,

Tell me of the things that encourages you to keep going on —

And I will tell you

To go forth.

To some,

You may be speaking of dreams that are small;

You may be speaking of dreams that may sound unattainable.

But what do I say to those people?

Who says a dream must be something magnificent?

Big or small —

That dream is still yours after all.

When you look at your reflection in the mirror,

Do you see how your mind has accustomed you to think of yourself —

Or do you see truly, how I see you?

What is the version of you that you dreamed of,

What do you see in your reflection?

My friend,

If there is no set path ahead of you —

Go and make your own path.

Don’t be trapped in someone else’s dream.

I hope you know,

That this is your life after all.

When you look at all that you are,

I hope that you are able to say,

That you are happy.

Or, at the very least —

You are getting to happy.

You deserve that.
